Responsibilities

  • Supports and maintains a safe and clean classroom environment.
  • Works with Lead Teacher to support all day-to-day processes,  curriculum,  and classroom management systems to ensure a smooth daily flow.
  • Develop strong relationships with the children,  parents,  lead teacher,  co-workers.
  • Helps develop and support the planning and implementation of weekly lesson plans,  including multiple backup plans,  ensuring children are constantly engaged in learning throughout the day.
  • Attends and participates in monthly team meetings,  Academy events,  and other meetings as requested.
  • Understands and supports the KA mission and vision through the highest level of positive professionalism,  building the Kiddie Academy brand and organizational culture.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma required.
  • CDA certificate or Associates’s Degree preferred.
  • Position fit for individuals in school seeking a degree in early childhood education,  or related field -  in daycare,  childcare,  preschool,  kindergarten,  school district,  summer camp,  and/or other child care related settings
  • 1 year or more experience in early childhood education preferred -  as a teacher,  substitute teacher,  teacher assistant,  baby sitter,  nanny,  pediatrician,  pediatric nurse,  paraprofessional,  child development therapist,  etc
  • Must be able to lift and carry at least 40-pound on a consistent basis.
  • Must successfully pass a criminal background and drug screen.
