Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our Compliance team focused on operational risk assessment. This role is ideal for a student interested in developing a foundation in compliance within a corporate setting. You’ll gain hands-on experience in a dynamic corporate environment, supporting compliance strategies across the organization.

  • Supervision:

    The Compliance Intern will report to the Senior Manager of Risk.

     

    Durations and Hours:

    This part-time position requires approximately 10-20 hours per week, with flexible work hours scheduled within regular business hours. Start date and term length are flexible but are expected to be within the Fall 2025 semester, with a flexible start date in September 2025.

     

    Compensation:

    This is a non-exempt position with an hourly rate of $15 per hour. If your academic institution allows you to receive course credit for internship experiences, you must coordinate credit requirements directly with your college or university and communicate to the Foundation any employer requirements (such as supervisory assessments) your institution requires for course credit.

Responsibilities

Risk Assessment

  • Assist in the mapping, gathering, and completion of the Federal Family Education Loan (FFELP) Program Risk Assessment.

Compliance Management Administration

  • Assist the Compliance Management team with various administrative duties.
  • Facilitate effective communication with various business units.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Candidates must reside in Missouri.
  • Enrollment in an accredited Missouri college or university in an undergraduate program in communications, human resources, accounting, compliance, or similar fields.
  • Ability to work from Chesterfield, MO or Columbia, MO office.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
