Job Location: This position is with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Division of State Parks, and will be located at Hunter-Dawson State Historic Site, 312 Dawson Rd, New Madrid MO 63869

You will be assisting the Hunter-Dawson State Historic Site with conducting tours of an 1860’s mansion, transcribing historic documents and assisting in program development.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct tours of an 1860’s mansion
  • Assist in developing programming
  • Assist in developing site interpretation
  • Transcribe historic documents
  • Research historical records

Qualifications

Professional Experience to be Gained:

  • Interpretation
  • Document transcription
  • Research
  • Communication

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Interest in or pursuing degree in historic preservation/research/interpretation
  • Ability to speak confidently in front of a group of people
  • Ability to work independently
