span style=“font-size:  11pt;”>The Missouri State Fair is one of the oldest in the nation.  The fairgrounds,  which cover 396 acres in Sedalia (Pettis County),  are open year-round,  providing facilities for horse and livestock shows,  art and craft festivals,  camping,  rallies and other events.  During the annual fair held in August,  visitors enjoy educational and recreational activities,  a carnival midway and musical entertainment.

span style=“font-size:  11pt;”>The Missouri State Fair continues to be the state’s largest agricultural and tourism event,  with exhibits showcasing livestock,  row crops,  horticulture and floriculture.  The State Fair plays an important role in shaping Missouri agriculture,  contributing to the state’s economy and educating the public about the importance and necessity of agriculture.  It features agribusiness exhibits and displays of Missouri-produced commodities.

We are currently looking for Marketing Internships to work Summer 2022 for the State Fair.   You will gain real-life experiences working for the annual Missouri State Fair,  and celebrating its 120th year in 2022!



strong>What you’ll do:

  • Special event and contest planning/execution
  • Public relations activities -  eblasts and news releases
  • Social media administration/monitoring
  • Agriculture education opportunities
  • Promotional material design and distribution


span style=“text-decoration-line:  underline;  font-size:  11pt;”>span style=“color:  #333333;  font-family:  Tahoma,  Geneva,  Arial,  sans-serif;  background-color:  #ffffff;  text-decoration:  underline;”>Must be a current college student (Freshman through Junior)  with a minimum 3.0 GPA pursuing a degree in Agricultural Communications,  Public Relations,  Advertising,  Journalism preferred.

strong>Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Interest in Missouri agriculture and creative communications
  2. Detail-oriented and thrives under pressure
  3. Beginners knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop,  Illustrator and/or InDesign)
  4. Understands basic photography and graphic design principles
