CWDB is currently seeking an energetic and self-motivated social media intern to join our team.  If you’re an ambitious,  creative person who sees yourself fitting into a career in using the power of various forms of communication to further an organization,  then this is the internship for you!

An internship with the Central Workforce Development Board  provides the opportunity for individuals to gain experience and hands-on-training,  as well as academic credit,  if requested.  This is currently an unpaid internship.

We’re seeking that special someone who will implement and maintain an online presence through social media,  representing various Central Region Missouri Job Centers. 



  • Implement and maintain an online presence through social media
  • Use various forms of media,  such as blogging,  social networking sites,  and discussion boards to help market the podcast
  • Collaborate with the team to write,  proofread,  and format social media materials
  • Engage with a community of followers online regularly
  • Constant improvement and striving for best practice.



  • Current enrollment in the field of Marketing,  Communications,  Journalism or similar.
  • Ability to develop and exude passion for helping others find their place in the workforce. 
  • Ability to work effectively and productively with other staff and clientele.  
  • A passion to serve.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with and support teams;  team-oriented.
  • Intelligent,  resourceful,  organized,  and professional;  capable of using these talents in an innovative and creative manner.  Good attention to detail.
  • Strong personal ethics and integrity.
  • High Proficiency in social media platforms (REQUIRED)
  • Experience with Canva preferred,  or Adobe Photoshop
  • Outstanding file organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to meet weekly editing deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
