Notice:This is a PAID summer internship opportunity for engineering students from May to August 2021.  Internships are temporary,  non-benefit eligible positions.  Hours worked can not exceed 1,039 hours in duration.

Examples of Work:

•Researches county records to obtain last deeds of record and/or other documents of record,  conducts title searches,and researches previous project plans and acquisition deeds.

•Prepares negotiator packets to include general warranty deeds,  escrow agreements,  deeds of release,  letters of offer,and other required documents.

•Prepares bid packages for the purpose of obtaining title,  mediation,  appraisal,  or other contracts.

•Monitors and tracks various right of way activities such as active leases,  realty asset acquisitions,  and realty assetdisposals;  compiles information and prepares reports as necessary.

•Gathers information for review by district realty asset committee and facilitates committee meetings as necessary.

•Assists with requesting fee services,  including ordering title commitments,  monitoring receipt of title commitments ordered,  obtaining requested information from title companies,  and coding fee services’  bills for payment.

•May prepare and code acquisition payrolls and various statements for payments,  prepare requests for programmedamounts,  and compile tax information for reporting purposes.

•Performs other responsibilities as required or assigned.


Minimum/Required Qualifications:  Intern must have completed at least 30 semester hours in a business-related degree program at an accredited college oruniversity.

Must maintain at least an overall GPA of 2.0 out of 4.0 to be accepted into and/or remain in the internship program
