Description

We are currently seeking students in an environmental curriculum to fill an internship in the Environment,  Health,  and Safety Department (EH&S)  at our New Madrid facility in Marston,  Missouri This is a paid internship that offers employment during summer 2021 with the possibility of continuation during the fall..  Normal working days are Monday through Friday.   You could also potentially receive course credit while working at AECI!  Contact your school’s career center for more information.

Responsibilities

As part of the Environmental,  Health,  and Safety Department (EH&S),  these positions may include the following areas:

· Assist in the development of air emissions tracking and compliance programs

· Update environmental compliance and procedure documents

· EH&S website maintenance and SharePoint development

· Manipulation and analysis of   large data sets using proprietary software and Microsoft products

· SPCC (Spill Prevention,  Control,  and Countermeasure)  inspections

Qualifications

Qualified applicants will be currently enrolled in an environmental science,  computer science,  biology,  chemistry,  or a related applied science field at the time of the internship,  and have successfully completed two (2)  years of work towards a bachelor’s degree.  We are seeking an individual with strong computer skills,  excellent written and verbal communication skills,  with a strong statistical and analytical background.  Experience in Microsoft SharePoint is desired.  Headquarters intern will travel to plants for work assignments.
