Considering a career in integrated communications?  If so,  consider an internship at FleishmanHillard St.  Louis,  the global headquarters for one the largest,  most prestigious communications agencies in the world.  Three times a year,  we hire a select group of highly qualified candidates for our internships to work with some of the very best professionals in the industry.  We have positions available in a variety of practice groups and specialty areas including brand marketing,  corporate reputation management,  entertainment and sports,  issues and crisis management,  public affairs and internal communications.

We are looking for individuals who have excellent writing skills,  are passionate about communications and eager to learn.  The FleishmanHillard experience provides the opportunity to grow personally and professionally through exposure to client service and the inner workings of a global,  integrated communications firm.

FleishmanHillard believes a diverse team brings a wider range of personal and professional experiences and perspectives.  We recognize that diversity and inclusion benefit our agency,  our clients,  and the communities in which we work and live.  To that end,  we strongly encourage applications from women,  people of color,  members of the LGBTQ community,  veterans,  and individuals with disabilities.

Interns have the opportunity to be a part of the account staff teams and assist with campaign conception to execution,  developing media materials,  building relationships with journalists,  conducting research,  drafting online content calendars and other account-related activities.  All candidates must also exhibit a desire and motivation to learn and the ability to work as part of a team.

Qualified candidates will have at least a 3.2 GPA,  previous relevant internship experience(s)  and completed their junior year of college,  though recent graduates are preferred.  Basic job requirements include excellent written and oral communications skills,  an innate curiosity,  strong time management,  and a desire to learn in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

Interested candidates must attach the following items to their online application upon submission:

  • Cover letter expressing interest in the internship program
  • Resume
  • Writing samples (three if possible):  Examples would be something written for a classroom assignment or previous internship (press release,  pitch letter,  media kit,  social media calendar),  a campus newspaper or magazine article,  or an essay,  blog post,  letter,  or memo of some sort
  • Letter of recommendation from a former teacher,  employer,  supervisor,  or personal reference (teacher or employer are preferred)
  • Transcript (can be unofficial)

Deadlines for Spring submissions:  November 1

The internship is a paid,  full-time position requiring a commitment of at least five months (January 16 –  May 21,  2020)
