Description

The League of Women Voters of Missouri. Louis is looking for an intern that is excited about educating and empowering voters. This is a great opportunity for a student who is interested in community engagement, communications and government.

Our non-profit is seeking an intern who can work at least 18 hours a week (flexible timing) from early June through the second week of August. The League office in Brentwood is open between 9:30 am and 3:30 pm Monday through Friday. 

Responsibilities

  • Support the League’s Making Democracy Work campaign, including educating voters on the importance of preserving the citizen initiative petition process.
  • Use Canva, Word, Excel, Publisher, and other apps and software to create materials;
  • Regularly post to social media and reviewing lwvmo.org website;

 

Qualifications

As a volunteer-run grassroots organization, the League values diversity and teamwork. It is important that the intern have strong communication skills and be able to follow instructions clearly and efficiently.  

The League is committed to nonpartisan issue-based advocacy and voter education. The intern must be able to carry out the duties of this role without partisanship or bias.
