Hourly Rate: $17.77

Duration of Assignment: May to August 2024

Job Location: This position is with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Division of Environmental Quality, Environmental Remediation Program, and will be located at 1730 East Elm Street, Jefferson City, MO 65101

You will be assisting the Environmental Remediation Program with a variety of duties related to inspections of new tanks and piping, locational data collection, and database editing.

 

Responsibilities

What you’ll do:

  • Data entry in the Tanks database to help ensure correct and up to date tank information
  • Data entry/filing of Financial Responsibility and inspection related documentation
  • Assist UST inspectors with “new installation” inspections.
  • Conduct data point collection on new installations

Qualifications

Professional Experience to be Gained:

  • Knowledge of the Department’s inspection procedures and purpose
  • Develop ability to work with the regulated community
  • Development of ability working with and editing database information
  • Reviewing and interpreting inspection reports

All you need for success:

  • Degree or seeking degree in Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Protection or similar field
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with regulated entities and team members
  • Ability to traverse uneven, rough, or difficult terrain
  • Valid Drivers License
