The Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry seeks a summer intern to assist in furthering the business, economic, and education mission of the Chamber.  The Missouri Chamber is the largest business advocacy organization in the state. Through its statewide strategic plan, Missouri 2030, the Missouri Chamber works collaboratively with key stakeholders, local chambers of commerce and our members to ensure that Missouri’s business climate is the best it possibly can be. 

Responsibilities

The internship position will perform a variety of roles from research, to data management, to outreach and other aspects to support various ongoing projects critical to the Chamber’s mission. The intern will work collaboratively with team members across the organization to meet project needs where greatest. This internship position will gain insight into a variety of business functions of the Missouri Chamber - business operations, database management, project management, communications, member outreach and other.  

Qualifications

We seek a highly motivated, hardworking, bright student from an accredited two or four year institution.  Preferred candidates should be majoring in a business, economics or other similar area.

  • Communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Familiarity with Office products such as Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
  • Flexible in handling various projects and being able to prioritize work assignments.
