Description

DUTIES:

  • Develop detailed design specifications for reports, analysis, data visualizations, and dashboards.
  • Prepare system design specifications and completes documentation.
  • Confirm the design and function of reports, analysis, data visualizations, and dashboards with the end users.
  • Implement reports, analysis, data visualizations, and dashboards for the customer and maintains/enhances those products.
  • Provide analytics and reporting support for various tools including Tableau, SQL Server Reporting Services, Excel, and BI Portals.
  • Develop standard practices for the Application Development staff to include program coding, database design, user interface design, and overall software architecture as it pertains to reporting.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

At the undergraduate level the emphasis is on recruitment, career exploration, and introducing top performing students to MDC.  

 

Students are eligible for the program when they meet the following criteria: 

  • Undergraduate student at an accredited university/college in good standing. Students who will be graduating before the internship begins are not eligible.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on 4.0 scale is desirable.
  • Preference will be given to students who have completed at least 30 credit hours.
  • Pursuing a degree in computer information systems, computer science, data science, or a related field.

Ability to:

  • Develop and sustain cooperative working relationships.

  • Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery.
  • Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance.
  • Obtain a current, valid driver license by the date of employment.
  • Contributing to the Data & Analytics team to prototype new models, conduct exploratory data analysis, and research.
  • Creating detailed documentation outlining design and technical specifications of each solution
  • Assisting in process improvement initiatives within Data & Analytics group
