Description

Assist district staff with priority projects such as: Fish sampling, goose and dove banding, unmanned and/or manned range maintenance, conservation area maintenance, fishing clinics, on site school programs, plant and animal surveys, monitoring ag crop contracts, implementing wildlife management plans on public areas, including prescribed burning, planting trees, shrubs, grasses, and food plots, mowing, disking, manipulating water levels, invasive species management, etc. Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

Students are eligible for the program when they meet the following criteria: 

  • Undergraduate student at an accredited university/college in good standing. Students who will be graduating before the internship begins are not eligible.
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher on 4.0 scale is desirable.
  • Preference will be given to students who have completed at least 45 credit hour
