Job Location: This position is with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources,  Division of State Parks,  and will be located at Knob Noster State Park,  873 SE 10 RD,  Knob Noster,  MO 65336.

You will be assisting the Knob Noster State Park staff with enticing and inspiring youth and the general public to take an interest and make a difference in Missouri’s natural and cultural resources.   You will also assist in managing 19 miles of trails and help to maintain both natural and cultural resources.


  • Research develop and present interpretive public educational park programs,  on and off site,  in campground for groups and more
  • Maintain 19 miles of trail including hiking,  equestrian and biking use
  • Protect,  preserve and interpret the natural and cultural resources of the park
  • Manage and eradicate invasive species within the park boundaries and/or on the Katy Trail
  • Work as an effective part of a team


  • Education or interest in general science,  nature,  or history;  may include the flora and fauna of Missouri,  non-traditional education considered
  • Comfortable with public speaking
  • Ability to work outdoors in the elements every day
  • Lift and carry 50lbs over uneven terrain for an extended period of time
