Job Location: This position is with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources,  Division of Environmental Quality,  and will be located at 1659 East Elm Street,  Jefferson City,  MO.

You will be assisting the Air Pollution Control Program’s Testing and Emissions Unit manage stack test reports and/or bring our database up to date.  Stack tests measure the amount of pollutant(s)  that are generated from a process.  Verifying the testing met the emission limitations and that the testing was performed according to the appropriate methodologies is important to the Department’s mission of protecting air quality in Missouri.  Please apply today and help us protect Missouri’s air quality!


  • Assist in updating our database in an effort to make it more functional and/or managing stack test reports.  These assignments could include working with stack test reports,  air permits,  test methods,  and/or regulations.  The work will include a hybrid of science and regulation.


  • Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student with a college or university.
  • Working towards a scientific degree such as atmospheric science,  engineering,  environmental science,  math,  chemistry,  and/or physics.  Other scientific backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Excel.
  • Well organized.
  • Works well with others.
