Job Location: This position is with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources,  Division of Environmental Quality,  and will be located at 1101 Riverside Dr.,  Jefferson City,  MO 65101

This position will primarily focus on compliance actions as part of an EPA National Compliance Initiative.

  • Contact and assist permittees with renewal of expired Missouri State Operating Permits
  • Assist in collecting updated permittee contact information for use in the Automated Notification System (Autodialer)
  • Determine the status of unassigned Water Pollution Enforcement Cases,  including statute of limitations and needed actions
  • Assist with drafting legal orders for communication of applicable information
  • Enter enforcement milestones in Department’s database to improve data quality and transfer
  • Identify and enter Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)  database code for enforcement actions to prevent accrual of violations
  • Generate list of permits with transfers of ownership that occurred within the past two years to use for resolving prior violations in EPA’s database
  • Generate list of permits with completed construction improvements that occurred within the past two years to use for resolving prior violations in EPA’s database
  • Assist with data management needed to improve data quality and transfer between databases


  • Data management experience
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Master of Microsoft Excel,  including ability to develop visuals to display results of analyses
  • Familiar with Environmental Laws,  especially the federal Clean Water Act
  • Project management skills
  • Understanding of SMART goals and performance metrics
