A Mechanical Engineering internship/Coop is available at our Thomas Hill facility in Clifton Hill,  Missouri.  This is a paid internships/Coop available during the 2022 school year.  Internship/coop will be available during the spring,  summer and fall periods based upon availability.  Normal working days are Monday through Friday.  You could also potentially receive course credit while working at AECI!  Contact your school’s career center for more information.

Responsibilities

As a mechanical engineering student,  projects may include the following:

· Perform various engineering tasks focused on increasing the reliability of our existing coal and gas plant fleet

· Perform reviews of plant equipment failure mechanisms and providing preventative
maintenance recommendations

· Assist with coordination of testing,  data collection,  reviewing reports for accuracy,  writing
bid specifications and evaluating construction bids from multiple contractors

· Assist with power plant improvement projects such as evaluating maintenance and cost
saving improvements

  • Execute smaller-scale outage projects.

Qualifications

Qualified applicants must be currently enrolled in a mechanical engineering curriculum and have successfully completed two (2)  years of work towards a Bachelor of Science with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or greater.  Experience with Microsoft Office (Word,  Excel,  PowerPoint,  OneNote,  Access)  and AutoCad is desired.
